Grace Church encourages our members to pursue numerous avenues to serve our neighbors, whether around the corner or around the globe. Among those are which we directly sponsor in a recurring fashion are:
AA, Bible study, choir, Sunday school, Holy Eucharist and a host of other activities of fellowship, Christian Education and community service offered in Spanish under the leadership of Father Jose Palma.
Parish Nurse Ministry
Healthcare assistance, especially transportation for treatments and assistance in understanding medical directions, for residents of the community overseen by our on-staff RA, Barbara Mountjoy.
Monday nights, 6 pm, in the basement of Spencer Hall (off the parking lot).
St Luke's Nursing Center ministries
Men’s coffee hour & ladies’ low-impact exercise groups on Tuesday morning, Holy Eucharist on Thursday afternoons, and other recurring opportunities for residents to meet and make friendships with parishioners of all ages.
AA en Espanol
Todos Domingos a 6 horas de las tardes en Spencer Hall, el salon sotano.
Meals on Wheels
4-6 weeks a year (Aug, Nov & Feb), Grace Church delivers meals to seniors in the community.
United Thank Offering (UTO)
Special offerings for relief and development throughout the Anglican world, twice annually.
Episcopal Relief & Development (ERD)
The Episcopal Church’s “emergency fund” for major crises everywhere, ERD also supports ongoing efforts such as Nets for Life, a malaria-prevention program in Africa.
Cross Lines of Carthage
One of our oldest partnerships, Grace Church is a major financial contributor to Carthage’s locally administered source for food and other assistance to those in need.
